Batman: Arkham Asylum

Batman: Arkham Asylum, coming soon for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, focuses on the two aspects of the character that have made him a comic book icon for the past 40 years: a story that highlights the cerebral side of Batman and his abilities as a crime fighter. Paul Dini, who has brought his experience as a writer from Batman: The Animated Series, has crafted an all-new story that ties into the Batman mythos. When the inmates take over the asylum, Batman finds himself in a fight for his life against some of his worst enemies, including Killer Croc, Scarecrow, Poison Ivy and Joker.

Twisted Metal Review: Metal, Blood, Bones and a sweet…. tooth

Upon its release in 1995, Twisted Metal became a household name for the PlayStation. Its unique cast of characters, interesting plot, car combat gameplay and amazing multiplayer helped cement it as one of the PlayStation’s best games in its first year. However, a string of subpar sequels caused the Twisted Metal brand to languish, even though it saw a brief resurrection with the critically acclaimed Twisted Metal: Black for PlayStation 2. Set for release august 3 you can find the trailer in all its HD glory at Apple’s trailer page.

God of War III

In the past two God of War games, Kratos has taken revenge on Ares, been elevated to the position of god of war (and removed from it), has been killed numerous times, crawling out of Hades each time and has been betrayed by Zeus. With this final act, Kratos has had enough being a mere plaything for the gods and has now challenged them head on in God of War III. This PlayStation 3 exclusive title sees Kratos fighting the many gods who have played major roles in the series: Poseidon, Hades and even Zeus himself will come face to face with Kratos’ rage. God of War III is the final chapter in the God of War trilogy, with Kratos’ story finally coming to an end. For new players, it is advised to play the first two games before the third; this game immediately picks up where God of War II ended.

Sony offers confirmation about PS3 launch

Sony contacts Gamesindustry.biz to comment about how Kaz Hirai's comments in a recent UK GameSpot interview were misunderstood. On the site they even have a recording of Kaz's comments. As far as can be gleaned form the conversation there might not be an even distribution of the 2 million consoles upon launch. Chances are one territory will get more than the other. The Sony reps corrected his comments regarding how many PS3 were going to be available by the end of the year but pay no heed to his comment about assembly production not starting yet. Is this a sign that their are not worried or are they trying to sidestep coming clean about any issues they might have about production?
