Call of Duty: Black Ops II Review

In recent years, Call of Duty games have really been more about the multiplayer than anything else, tacking on a single player mode for gamers to muddle through before getting into the mode they really want to enjoy. However, Call of Duty: Black Ops II offers the total package this time around thanks to developer Treyarch really stepping up the game for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC and Wii U title.

Okami HD Review: The Sun god in dog form

Originally released on the PlayStation 2 in 2006, Okami is Clover Studio and Capcom's unique action-adventure video game that can seem a little strange in Western culture. After all, most gamers take on the role of a human being or even an alien race that still resembles the humanoid structure, so filling the shoes—paws?—of a wolf is definitely a change that can throw off a player. Despite this, the original title was a resounding hit, and popular demand has led to a re-release in the form of Okami HD for the PlayStation 3.

The Last of Us

From the developers of the iconic Crash Bandicoot, Jak and Daxter and Uncharted series, Naughty Dog adds another touch of genius to the PlayStation 3 in the form of The Last of Us. In a post-apocalyptic setting, a deadly fungus similar to the one seen in popular movie I Am Legend spreads throughout the city and infects humans, turning them into hostile beasts that attack protagonists Joel and Ellie.

Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown Review: Beatdown in style

Virtua Fighter is a series that most people likely haven't thought of in some time, with the exception of the news that a trio of characters would be making an appearance in Dead or Alive 5 as playable fighters. The last time the series had a presence in the community was about five years ago before it fell off the face of the Earth. Now, though, Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown makes a comeback on the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3 with noticeable improvements from its original release back in 2006.

Hitman: Absolution - Ensuring many enter a state of grace.

There are few games left in the industry that requires strategic thinking and precise movement, but now players get the chance to work their minds all over again. Total Recall: Reimagined

The movie industry trend of remaking films has taken an interesting turn. The brains looked backward this time to bring an old classic and give it a once over for todays modern audiences. By the looks of the trailer, they seem to be doing a great job. I am not a fan of the trend myself but I can’t help but admit that the trailer has me interested. Assassins Creed III

After three games set in Europe, all starring Ezio Auditore, the Assassin’s Creed formula had started to become stale. While Assassin’s Creed II breathed new life into the franchise, catapulting it into star franchise status, and Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood further further improved the gameplay, Assassin’s Creed: Revelations started to wane a bit. While Ezio was interesting and a great protagonist, gamers were eager for a change of pace and to experience a new protagonist, similar to when the franchise switched from Altair to Ezio in Assassin’s Creed to Assassin’s Creed II. Assassin’s Creed III, releasing on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC, looks to be just what gamers wanted in this regard.
