I've been receiving quite a number of emails lately, asking if I'm working on releasing a Sony PLAYSTATION 3 or Nintendo Wii inventory trackers for their release... Well the answer to that is a RESOUNDING "perhaps."

Just know that I've been working on a new project, for the past 5 months, and that it's 50x better than the XBOX 360 In-Store Inventory Tracker. And while I'm not quite ready to announce what I'm working on just yet, take my word that you won't be disappointed.

Microsoft Confirms Zune Project

Looks like Microsoft's "iPod Killer", due this winter, has now been officially confirmed. Microsoft's GM of marketing, Chris Stephenson:

"Today we confirmed a new music and entertainment project called Zune. Under the Zune brand, we will deliver a family of hardware and software products, the first of which will be available this year. We see a great opportunity to bring together technology and community to allow consumers to explore and discover music together."

With rumors floating around that these Zune devices will have WiFi, video support and Live Anywhere, many wonder if MS can really compete with the monster-popular iPod or if these things may be another hype overkill. I'll say this though: If they can pack my current Xbox Live Arcade games, like Geometry Wars, onto a decent portable device, then kudos MS, kudos.

Here is their (rather awkward) viral campain site.

Blu Ray, we love you! Signed, The Adult Video Industry

Granted this news is a little old but it is an important telling of the times. Macworld has stated that  Blu Ray is the prefered media of choice for the adult industry.

"Ron Wagner, director of IT operations at E! Entertainment Television Inc., in Los Angeles, said his company has already chosen the Blu-ray Disc format, in large part because of talk in the porn industry favoring it over rival HD-DVD.

E! Entertainment is using Blu-Ray discs primarily for Sony’s XDCam applications for acquisition of television programming materials. The television network, which has more than 85 million subscribers to its celebrity gossip and entertainment news, said it is not considering optical formats for long-term data archiving, but will stick with magnetic tape for now.

Microsoft's live is brilliant

Extremetech goes over the amazingness of Microsoft's Live anywhere. Live anywhere will allow game players to log into the new upcoming vista, thier 360 and thier phones (regaurdless of os) and play thier games or watch thier media associated with thier gamertag.

This reminds me of other attempts on a smaller scale such as the VMU for the dreamcast. I spent hours leveling up my Chao for Sonic only to plug it back into the game and my chao became a puffy, speedy GOD. This idea from Microsoft will take that immersive feeling and multiply it tenfold. Life for hardcore gamers are about to become really interesting.

Here is Extremetechs opinion and coverage on Live anywhere.

Thanks Guys!
