My first tip: Watch the clocks. When they're orange, that tells you that there was just a change - giving you the better chance. But why stop there.. just Track iT!

untitled says:
December 02, 2006 at 6:11 PM

Make sure to check your junk mail.

untitled says:
December 02, 2006 at 6:28 PM

Not to worry, the stores you don't see for some of the items will soon be active in the near future...

raymond says:
December 02, 2006 at 6:43 PM

uuuuhhhh! why does it cost $1.99 to track it? thats gay, you should be able to track it for free just like the xbox 360 tracker?

untitled says:
December 02, 2006 at 6:57 PM

Thanks for your suggestion, Raymond, however we have bandwidth, per-text charges, and server hosting to to pay for, thus the reason for the (very) small fee to track items.

Jordan says:
December 02, 2006 at 7:01 PM

Wait raymond.. you're trying to track a $599 PS3 and you're complaining about 2 bux?!?!? Awesome service, untitled. Way past my expectations...

Mo Jahangard says:

untitled I am having problems with the paying option. I want to pay with my master card, however I am not a member with paypal. Do I need to sign up for it?

untitled says:
December 02, 2006 at 7:09 PM

No, you do not need a PayPal account to pay via Credit Card.

Ken says:
December 02, 2006 at 7:09 PM

Yeah it's just $2 for a kick ass service you cheap ass

Mo Jahangard says:
December 02, 2006 at 7:10 PM

Ken were you refering to me?

Bob says:
December 02, 2006 at 7:11 PM

hey thanks for the tracker ive been waiting for a while, i just tried it out it said my local target had them in stock 4 mintues ago, i called and they said they didnt have any.=[

Ed says:
December 02, 2006 at 7:15 PM

been over 2 hours with no email

untitled says:
December 02, 2006 at 7:15 PM

Bob, keep an eye on the clocks. They tell you WHEN the item becomes in stock. Pointing to the clock will let you know how long ago it the status changed.

Bob says:
December 02, 2006 at 7:16 PM

I just called some more targets in my area, and they said they were getting some in and i should call back tommorow morning early, (for nintendo wii's) so maybe the tracker was correct and they just got shipments in but their holding them for tommorow?

Ken says:
December 02, 2006 at 7:46 PM

No not you Mo Jahangard, I was talking to raymond

Mo Jahangard says:
December 02, 2006 at 7:48 PM

untitled I am having trouble getting the payment done. I signed up with paypall, and everything is fine until I get to the reveiw payment page. When I click on it it sends to me a page where it says error message, access denied. Any help would be great. Thx.

Mo Jahangard says:
December 02, 2006 at 8:11 PM

Nevermind, I paid with credit card. Ok so if the clock is yellow that means they got them in just recently correct? Oh boy I got both 20gb and 60gb.

Mo Jahangard says:
December 02, 2006 at 8:27 PM

untitled can you explain to me (and sorry if posted somewhere) how exactly the e-mail alert works? plz? Thx :)

untitled says:
December 02, 2006 at 8:32 PM

Sure... When there's a change in stock status to one of the stores you selected, you'll be instantly notified on your email or mobile phone. You can change your store selection anytime you want. And even see who, in your neighborhood is tracking that item at which store.

Mike says:
December 02, 2006 at 8:39 PM

untitled, when will desktop alert release and when will best buy be added? Will you add the tracker for how many wii or ps3 each store carry? Thanks

untitled says:
December 02, 2006 at 8:56 PM

The answer to all your questions Mike: 'in the near future'

Mo Jahangard says:
December 02, 2006 at 9:48 PM

untitled one more thing. I purchased two trackers, both for the PS3 (60gb and 20gb). Now I was wondering if I was going to set up my cell phone to receive alerts, would there be any additonally fees, like from my service provider? Thx, and I am really looking for the hunting now! :)

untitled says:
December 02, 2006 at 9:50 PM

Nope. The only fee was to add those items to your account for tracking. You receive unlimited messages, free of charge.

untitled says:
December 02, 2006 at 9:52 PM

Also, check with your mobile phone provider to see if you are charged for incoming text messages.. most people aren't.

Mo Jahangard says:
December 02, 2006 at 9:55 PM

Awesome thx untitled. And do not forget. If I really end up with a PS3 because of your tracker, I will donate $100 to your projects. Promise!

meathead2k4 says:
December 02, 2006 at 11:08 PM

So, when does the tracker know? I mean how is it determined because I know for a fact that a local target has exactly 24 Wii's them but WILL NOT sell them till Sunday Morning. There is a massive discussion on amazon forum from their wii page. TRU, BB, and Target all have gotten some significant shipments but are waiting till sunday to release them to the public because their sale ads say they have a minimum of 10. Currently itrackr does not list any at the store I know has them. My wife and I went there and the store manager went Ape shit on her wanting to know how she knew and said nobody is getting one till sunday! They have been hoarding them this week and lying to customers. Target big time! Supposedly last shipment before Christmas?

untitled says:
December 02, 2006 at 11:15 PM

iTrackr "knows" when their inventory system updates... some retailers update often, some are sometimes slow.. but iTrackr will alert you the instant there's a change. Just keep an eye on the clocks or simply Track iT!

meathead2k4 says:
December 02, 2006 at 11:23 PM

It's already in there inventory system. My wife and I had them scan a bar code at one store and they said there were none in stock at that store but the store down the road had 24... and then he looked again at the item and freaked out... "Oh wait, that's wrong, they don't have any either". So their internal inventory is updated.

meathead2k4 says:
December 02, 2006 at 11:29 PM

nevermind.... now says in stock... and at the store that we were told didn't have any..... has them. punks! Thanks! great job the site.

untitled says:

December 03, 2006 at 8:09 PM

Do you have any plans to set this up for Canadian stores? I don't want to try to order online from American stores because I've heard horror stories of getting them across the border.

Rich says:
December 03, 2006 at 8:37 PM

Why isn't Best Buy listed as a store? With the 360 tracker that and futureshop were both included.

untitled says:
December 03, 2006 at 9:59 PM

Target's are starting to show 'in-stock' around my area for the PS3 just as it did for the Wii on Saturday. I told a friend to check it out, and the manager was surprised he knew - but said he couldn't sell him one until tomorrow.

Mo Jahangard says:
December 03, 2006 at 10:45 PM

untitled, I went today to target, and the itrackr said they have them in strock. But the people at target told me they do not have them. Now either they were lying or telling me the truth. Itrackr keeps saying that the target I went today still has the 20gb PS3's in stock. How do I go about approaching the target employees that I know that they have the PS3's? Any suggestions, because I think they lie to me. Same with gamestop people.

untitled says:
December 03, 2006 at 10:52 PM

Changes are... they don't even know, and they'll probably go on sale the next morning. The floor employees at Target stores aren't given that information when the trucks arrive. Just keep an eye on the status clocks or Track iT to send you the tip.

mike87 says:
December 03, 2006 at 11:46 PM

JohnRado says:
December 03, 2006 at 11:55 PM

I too signed up several hours ago and have not received any confirmation email. I'm with comcast.net and checked my filtered spam mail and didn't see anything there either.

untitled says:
December 04, 2006 at 10:38 AM

Yes it seems Comcast is notorious for blocking/blacklisting good email. Have you tried it with any other free email service?

Jay says:
December 04, 2006 at 10:43 AM

I too signed up and have not received a conformation email. I signed up with an aol and optonline email address and have been checking my spam folder and new mail since last night. Please let me know if there is a way to fix this! thanks a lot and looking forward to trying this program!

untitled says:
December 04, 2006 at 11:10 AM

If they're not in your junk mail, try adding @itrackr.com to your email's whitelist and signing up again. I found this to work with MS's new Hotmail Live beta.

Ryan says:
December 04, 2006 at 3:23 PM

Just a suggestion, but do you think it would be helpful to get a history for the status changes? For instance, to click on the clocks and see the last 10 status changes and times so that a consumer can have an idea of what time these items are arriving?

Dan says:
December 04, 2006 at 4:29 PM

I like Ryan's idea. It might be helpful to have a way of seeing that the tool hasn't stop polling for some reason and to see what it found and when it found it...maybe something like what Wii Tracker does for the history?

Mo Jahangard says:
December 04, 2006 at 7:16 PM

I have to also agree with Ryan. His idea sounds really useful. Maybe this way our results can be more fruitful than they have been so far (I am strictly speaking here for myself).

untitled says:
December 04, 2006 at 7:38 PM

You've mentioned a feature thats been tested and may be available in a future release ;)

Ryan says:
December 04, 2006 at 9:44 PM

I'm finding that I'm not receiving text alerts. I'm receiving the emails, and the test, but no text actual alerts (which is the part I'm actually paying for). Also, it seems that Target keeps getting their stock in about an hour before they close. It's been like that the past two nights in my area. Someone here may find that helpful.

Mo Jahangard says:
December 04, 2006 at 11:02 PM

Apparently Target is stocking up for a big Saturday sale.

Joel says:
December 05, 2006 at 10:42 AM

I signed-up to track PS3, but Target and EB Games are the only stores that show up to track. Will Circuit City and Best Buy be available to track soon? Also, could you add the capability to track for 2 zip codes? I live on the border between 2 cities zip codes. Thanks.

David says:
December 05, 2006 at 11:49 AM

Is there a way to add more than one zip code per user? The range of stores listed for my selected zip code doesn't adequately cover the are in which I live and work. I realize I can go into my account settings and change the zip code, but this is kind of pain to have to do all of the time and, obviously, won't work for tracking purposes.

George says:
December 05, 2006 at 11:54 AM

Roosta says:
December 07, 2006 at 12:17 AM

Hey untitled :) Kudos on the release of your new app. Wanted to point something out.. While I don't have any problem with you (or anyone) wanting to make a couple bucks, and your price is certainly fair, I feel it worth mentioning that with the X360 tracker, the app ran on our machine, and thus the bandwidth usage was at our expense. From what I've read this new thing doesn't work that way, seems more like a service running on your rig, which you mentioned is what the fee is to help cover. Assuming this to be true, why the change? Why not keep it an application that runs independently on the users machine? Like I said, not bashing, just curious - I'll be getting on the Wii list by Friday myself..

Ken says:
December 07, 2006 at 7:08 AM

I hope Best Buy and Circuit City are added soon!

alex says:
December 07, 2006 at 7:13 AM

I have to ask. when i put my mouse over the grey clock tear a target being show as "in-stock". it says status changes 7 days 16 hours 47 minutes ago. But the icon is in orange. sooo, did they have them in stock 7 days ago? or within 3 hours? Can anyone let me know? thanx.

Mike says:
December 07, 2006 at 10:35 AM

Now we have problem, i check the clock, one of retailer had them in stock about 1 hour ago before store open, i drove their and i was the first. they said non in stock, what is going on? are they lying? or its your tracker.? now, if the ps3 or wii just arrived in their store, if they don't scan the item we would not know its in stock right?

Mike says:
December 07, 2006 at 10:40 AM

untitled, you need to add bb and cc fast, we are losing those chances plus don't forget to add how many they carry and what time did the first one sold so this way we know more detail. Thanks

untitled says:
December 07, 2006 at 2:13 PM

When is BB, CC, TRU, Walmart, and Sears going to be added to the PS3 and Wii section? I already payed for the service, but having only Target is not too helpful. Plus where I live EB doesn't count at all they are still selling pre-orders!

Jon Pessano says:

My mobile alerts are not working and have never worked other than the test text message sent when I first set it up. I am receiving email alerts but that doesn't do me any good if I am not sitting in front of my computer. Is this yet another feature NOT working?

untitled says:
December 09, 2006 at 11:14 PM

Jon, Please try an alternate email address, as many Comcast users are having trouble. Mo Jahangard, please give it some time and it'll work out for you just as it has with many many other people. Kathy, I have confirmed that the mobile alerts are up and running just fine. There hasn't been many complaints of people not receiving them. Make sure you've set your mobile preferences. You can adjust what hours you want to be notified via mobile phone. There will be an update later tonite.

Kathy says:

Kathy says:
December 12, 2006 at 10:34 AM

I know this may sound like any odd request but I noticed you added some kids toys on there. Is there anyway you could also add Baby Alive. For some reason my family makes me shop for all the hard to find items every year and this has been added to my list at the last minute. Hell, I was in the store and they had them last week but I didn't know I needed one than...go figure!

Itrackr, I have gotten 5+ notices that Wii's were in stock at local Gamespots but when I call them they tell me they have none in stock and don't know when they will be getting them. How come your site tells me they have them in stock but when I call they have none? Thx

Dave says:
December 13, 2006 at 11:08 AM

I've had 2 failed attempts at securing a wii based on erroneous information that itrackr provided. Each time I thoroughly interrogated the manager to see if perhaps they were holding back but that was not the case. Of course I now feel like a fool for paying for this service.

DarkStar2k2003 says:
December 13, 2006 at 10:12 PM

I have also had a failed attempt at getting a Wii at gamestop from this site info. I have a sneaking suspicion that they are holding back because I keep hearing about the 17th from them and every other store I have tried.

Mo Jahangard says:
December 14, 2006 at 1:35 AM

untitled, your itrackr is not working properly. Just got back from GameStop with a 60GB PS3. They received a shipment of 4 or 6 60GB PS3's at my local Gamestop. The itrackr did not alert me. However I am not mad at you, or your itrackr, because lots of other people were able to get their PS3's through it. Yet I must urge to please do something about this, as I have a strong feeling that the itrackr for my area is not doing its job. Thank you.

I live in Michigan and called a store about the Wiis and the girl told me that a circular should be in the newspaper for a sale on 12/17 and that they open at 10 a.m.

jaw says:
December 14, 2006 at 7:34 PM

Very hit or miss, a Wii and a PS3 have been showing available in a couple of stores, the PS3 for the past 10 days. No alerts via cell phone or email when things did come into stock. Checked my settings at least 10 times. No response from 3 inquiries. Save your money on the alerts. Put gas in your car instead.

Kathy says:
December 15, 2006 at 2:09 AM

I don't know about that. I was alerted on Sunday night at about 11:15pm that a Target in my area had PS3 60GB units instock. I got there REALLY early and someone else was already there waiting outside the store. She had been there since 5:30 a.m. The manager came out and questioned me as to how I knew that they had the PS3 instock. Someone from inside the store had told the lady infront of me. Two weeks ago when there was a near riot at this same store an assistant manager inadvertantly gave out the website to look up in transit shipments of PS3s along with the quantity they would be receiving in order to calm down the crowd. I told him I got the information from a website but it didn't tell the quantity the store would be receiving and I was sent a text message on my cell phone. When I said to him isn't technology wonderful I thought his head was going to explode. Needless to say, I scored a PS3 on Monday which wasn't even for me but for my nephew.

Jaw, I apologize for your trouble. A GameStop & EB Games Inventory system update very, very slowly, and sometimes produces incorrect status on our site. (We put a notice on every product page that lets you know to call ahead of time to be sure.) We’re also aware of the small number of users having problems with notifications. It seems only affect some users on the Cingular network but I'm working my best to have it resolved. Please keep in mind that we just launched as beta, so not everything will be perfect, bugs and kinks are to be expected. And, while iTrackr has helped many people (the success stories heavily outweigh those having issues), be rest assured that all problems will be ironed out as I'm working around the clock to fix them. I know everyone's anxious to get that product they're looking for, and iTrackr's a unique service with a lot of potential - I'll try my best to make iTrackr work for everyone.
